Dune Eco Trip

Spend the day zipping along the dunes in a 4x4. Within a 30 minute drive from the centre of Cape Town, your adrenaline will soon start to flow as you see the dunes you are about explore.

The dunes are a natural phenomenon and can change their formation overnight depending on wind direction; your driver has the experience and knowledge to navigate all types of dunes. We always send 4x4's in pairs as you have to be prepared for the un-expected. Even the most experienced driver can get stuck and caught out, a dune may suddenly start to collapse and you'll need to hold on tight while the driver takes control of the situation and navigates you safely to the bottom.

There will be regular stops giving ample time 

to get out the cameras and capture those    
special moments. A sand board is available for
anyone wishing to ride the dunes under their
own steam.

A mid day traditional South African braai
(BBQ) will be served at lunch time along
with refreshments.

We take care of everything from your point

of pick-up to the safe return to your hotel later that day.

Dune & Rocky Eco Trip

Enjoy the delights of two amazing trials!  Spend the morning zipping along the dunes in a 4x4. The dunes are a natural phenomenon and can change their formation overnight depending on wind direction; your driver has the experience and knowledge to navigate all types of dunes.
A Sand-board is provided for anyone wishing to ride the dunes under there own steam.  A late morning brunch will be served before we depart for the next trail.

On arrival at the Rocky Eco trial your guide will point out the terrain you are shortly to commence claiming, you will enjoy an exhilarating afternoon that delivers panoramic views from a height of 800mts, there  is plenty of wildlife on the farm and if we are lucky you may catch sight of the Zebra, Eland or Kudu that roam the farm.    

There will be regular stops throughout the day to give you ample time to get out the cameras and capture those special moments.

A mid afternoon traditional South African braai (BBQ) will be served along with refreshments. Whilst your meal is being prepared you can relax by a small lake and enjoy the stunning views as far as the eye can see.

Two Oceans Eco Trip

Tucked away in the shades of the stunning Helderberg in Somerset West, lies the Helderbergplaas farm.  The farm has a 3 to 4 rated 4x4 trail named 'Two Ocean's View', by using this trail we gain access to viewpoints where you can see a range of majestic sights e.g. False Bay/Indian Ocean, Stellenbosch, the Cape Peninsula, across the “Mother City” to the Atlantic Ocean, hence the name “Two Oceans”.
With 2 options of 4X4 routes to choose from i.e. Blue Route (less demanding scenic route) or the Red route (more demanding & challenging), you decide which way we turn. Both routes are carefully mapped, with a range of challenging obstacles and\or scenic routes – when the trail is wet, the farm recommends people stay to the Blue Route but our vehicles are capable of tackling the challenging terrain therefore we cater for both the adventurous and scenic seeker.

There will be regular stops giving ample time to get out the cameras and capture those special moments.  

Once we return to the base of the trail, you'll find a tea garden,
various walking trails, and children's playground.



To complete the trip a traditional South African braai (BBQ) will be served along with refreshments, in season the farm grows their own strawberries, there's no better way to finish the day “fresh strawberries and cream”

Rocky Eco Trip

Spend the day exploring the surrounding beauty of Cape Town, the trail is within a 50 minute drive from the centre of Cape Town.

On arrival your Guide will point out the rocky terrain you are shortly to commence climbing, as we get closer and observe some of the climbs I am sure you'll feel your adrenaline start to flow.  We travel to a height of roughly 800 meters.

This trail is not for the fainthearted. 
There are some extremely steep climbs
and descents, however the trip can be
calmed down to suit the entire family. 

There is plenty of wildlife on the farm and
if we are lucky you may catch sight of the Zebra, Eland or Kudu that roam the farm.  

There will be regular stops giving ample

those special moments, fantastic scenic
views, plenty of wildlife, birds and fynbos.

A mid day traditional South African braai (BBQ) will be served along with refreshments. Whilst your meal is being prepared you can relax by a small lake and enjoy the stunning views as far as the eye can see.

Mountain Eco Trip

Spend the day exploring the highest mountain in the Western Cape!   This is not Table Mountain at a mere 1086mtrs. Matroosberg towers them all at a height of 2249mtrs.  The trial is a 2hr drive from the centre of Cape Town, well before you reach the destination you will see the mountain range you are going to explore. The trail carries a moderate 4x4 rating and takes about 6hrs to complete.   In winter time, when there is snow on the mountain, it takes a serious 4x4 to be able to get to the top.

 

 

There will be regular stops giving ample time to get out the cameras and capture those special moments.  We make a point of stopping at the ½ way mark as there is a large plateau where we can park and guests can then stretch their legs.  For the brave, you can crawl to the edge of a 1000mtr shear drop. This is not for the fainthearted or anyone that suffers from vertigo.  EXTREME CAUTION has to be taken if you approach the edge!  It is HIGHLY recommended you CRAWL as it is particularly dangerous in strong winds.

We will endeavour to serve brunch at the half-way plateau as well as a mid afternoon traditional South African braai (BBQ) sitting on the top of the mountain observing "God's creation from his own window", weather conditions permitting.

All our trips are available as a sunset trip, with the exception of the Dune Eco trip.

After a breath taking day taking in the spoils of “God’s Creation” there’s no better way to finish the day, sip on a glass of local brute, relax and enjoy a majestic sunset!
